Hi! I’m Liz B — a certified yoga teacher based in Santa Monica, California
With over 10 years of experience in the practice, I bring a unique blend of strength and mindfulness to each of my classes. I received my yoga teacher training from Veda Yoga under Kumi Yogini and Alex Artymiak before working in a 1-on-1 mentorship with Natasha Snow Needles at SoHo Yoga. Most recently, I have completed a series of Annie Carpenter’s yoga method, Body Smart Yoga, which has reshaped the way I think about sequencing for every body.
My classes, like those of my teachers, are designed to be inclusive and accessible to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. My style incorporates elements of ashtanga, hatha, and vinyasa traditions and focuses on proper alignment, breath work, and meditation. I encourage my students to listen to their bodies and to work at their own pace, while also challenging them to push beyond their comfort zones.
In addition to group classes, I also offer private and semi-private lessons, as well as corporate yoga and yoga for special populations such as athletes, seniors and those recovering from injuries.
When I’m not on the mat, you can find me exploring the beaches and hiking trails of Santa Monica and soaking up the California sunshine with my two daughters.
